How do I delete my data from JobLeads?
We believe you should always be in control of your data. If you’ve decided to delete your personal information from JobLeads, close your account, or permanently delete your profile, we’ll walk you through the process clearly. This is a permanent decision, so we want to make sure you understand what it means before proceeding.
Under GDPR, you have the right to erasure (also known as the right to be forgotten). This GDPR right allows you to request deletion of your personal data.
What you need to know before deleting your account
This account deletion action is permanent and irreversible. Once you delete your account, close it, or permanently close it, you will lose access to:
All your personal data and profile information
Your job search history and saved searches
Application tracking and status updates
Your resumes and cover letters
Access to our headhunter network
Career insights and recommendations
All Premium features and benefits
This data deletion is complete, you’ll remove all information from the platform.
Important: If you have a Premium subscription, you must cancel it before you can delete your account. Need to cancel your subscription, end your membership, or cancel your paid subscription? How to delete your account and data
Step 1: Log in to your JobLeads account
Access your account at JobLeads using your email address and password. If wondering “How do I access my account?” to delete it, this is your starting point.
Step 2: Navigate to Account settings
Click on your profile picture or initials in the upper right corner, then select “Account settings” from the dropdown menu. For security purposes, you’ll be prompted to enter your login credentials again to verify your identity before you can delete your account.
Step 3: Scroll to the Notifications section
On the Account settings page, scroll down to the Notifications section. At the bottom of this section, you’ll see a note that reads: “If you no longer want to receive emails from JobLeads, you must delete your JobLeads profile.”
Step 4: Click the delete link
Click on the blue highlighted text “delete your JobLeads profile” to begin the deletion process. This starts the account removal procedure.
Step 5: Review the confirmation message
You’ll be asked to confirm your decision. Please read the information carefully, this permanent deletion process cannot be undone. This irreversible action will erase all your data.
Step 6: Confirm deletion
If you’re certain you want to proceed with permanently closing your account, click the “Delete account” button to remove your account and erase your data.
Step 7: Confirmation
Your account will be deleted immediately, and you’ll receive an email confirmation. This completes the account deletion and data erasure process. Your account is now closed and deactivated.
About email notifications
Even after unsubscribing from newsletters or trying to stop emails, you may still receive system messages such as headhunter contact requests. If you want to unsubscribe from emails completely, stop sending me mails, or stop contacting me entirely, the only way to completely stop all emails from JobLeads is to delete your account entirely. This is the only method to unregister email communications completely.
Your GDPR rights
This deletion process exercises your GDPR right to erasure. You can delete all personal data, including any payment information (option to delete payment information). This data deletion is your GDPR right, and we respect your decision to withdraw, deregister, or discontinue using our service. If you want to cancel yourself from the platform, this is how you do it.
