How can I change my login data (email and password)?
Keeping your login credentials secure and up to date ensures smooth access to everything JobLeads offers, from personalized job matches to your application tracking and career tools. Updating your email or password is straightforward, and we’ve built-in security steps to keep your account protected.
This login data management capability gives you control over your account security in accordance with GDPR data rights.
Changing your email address
Step 1: Log in to your JobLeads account
Access your account at JobLeads using your current email address and password. If wondering “How do I access my account?” to change login information, this is your starting point.
Step 2: Open your account menu
Click on your profile picture or initials in the upper right corner of the page. This opens a dropdown menu with your account options.
Step 3: Go to Account settings
From the dropdown menu, click “Account settings.” For security purposes, you’ll be prompted to enter your login credentials again to verify your identity before you can change sensitive login data.
Step 4: Navigate to the Login data section
Scroll down to the Login data section, where you’ll see your current email address displayed.
Step 5: Change your email
Click on the email field to begin editing. Enter your new email address in both the “New email address” and “Repeat email address” fields. Enter your current password to confirm the change, then click “Save changes.”
Step 6: Verify your new email
Check your new email inbox for a confirmation message from JobLeads. Click the verification link in the email to finalize the update. This email verification step ensures account security.
Important: Your email address serves as your username for logging into JobLeads, so be sure to use your updated address moving forward when you log in.
Gmail account limitation
If you registered your JobLeads account using a Gmail email address, you cannot change the email address attached to your account due to system limitations. This Gmail limitation is a known issue. Changing your password
Step 1: Follow Steps 1-4 above to access the Login data section in your Account settings.
Step 2: Update your password
Click on the password field to begin editing. Enter your new password to change your password.
Step 3: Create a strong password
Make sure your new password is strong, use at least 8 characters, including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, and a special character. This password security practice keeps your account and job search data secure. A strong password is essential for account security.
Step 4: Save your changes
Click “Save changes” to confirm your new password. You’ll use this password for all future logins. Your login credentials are now updated.
