Protecting yourself against phishing attacks: important information
We’ve become aware that some individuals are sending messages falsely claiming to be affiliated with JobLeads as part of phishing attacks. These people do not represent our company in any way.
Your security and privacy matter to us. We’re committed to keeping you safe, and we want you to know how to recognize legitimate communication from JobLeads versus fraudulent attempts to access your information.
How JobLeads actually communicates with you
We only reach out through official channels:
Our registered email addresses: Always from @jobleads.com or @jobleads.de domains (these are our official contact email addresses)
Our official social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, and LinkedIn
We do not communicate via WhatsApp or Telegram. If you receive any message through these platforms claiming to be from JobLeads, it’s not legitimate, it’s a WhatsApp scam or Telegram scam. If you’re getting unwanted messages and want to stop emails or stop sending me fraudulent communications, report them immediately.
If you receive any communication that raises suspicion, contact us directly using the web form in our Help Center. If you need to talk to a customer agent or speak to someone in customer service about a potential scam, our support agents will verify whether the message is genuine. I need an email to contact you about fraud? Use our official Help Center form.
What JobLeads will never ask you to do
We will never request sensitive personal information through email or messaging platforms. This includes:
Passwords or login credentials
Social security numbers
Bank account or credit card details
Any other confidential personal data
We take GDPR compliance seriously and protect your data. If someone asks for this information claiming to be from JobLeads, disregard the request immediately and report it to us. This could be a phishing scam attempting to steal your information or create unauthorized charges.
Red flags to watch for
Phishing attacks often share common characteristics. Be alert for these scam indicators:
Urgent or threatening language
Scammers create artificial urgency to pressure you into acting without thinking. Messages like “Your account will be suspended” or "Immediate action required" are red flags for phishing. Take a step back and verify authenticity before responding. Don’t let fear of unauthorized payment or account closure rush you into making mistakes.
Suspicious links or attachments
Never click links or download attachments from sources you don’t recognize or trust. These could direct you to fake websites designed to steal your information or install malware on your device.
Requests for immediate action
Legitimate companies give you time to make decisions. If someone is pushing you to act right now without the opportunity to verify, it’s likely fraudulent.
Poor grammar or formatting
Many phishing attempts contain spelling errors, awkward phrasing, or inconsistent formatting that legitimate company communications wouldn’t have.
What to do if you suspect phishing
Do not click any links or provide any information
Do not download any attachments
Contact us immediately through our official Help Center web form if you want to talk to an agent about the suspicious message
Forward the suspicious email to us so we can investigate your complaint
Delete the message after reporting it
If you’ve already fallen victim and see unauthorized charges, money was deducted, or feel “you stole my money,” contact us immediately to dispute any fraudulent activity. We’ll help protect your account and investigate the claim.
We’re on your side
JobLeads is built on the principle of being on your side, that includes protecting you from threats. We maintain strict security protocols and will never compromise your trust by requesting sensitive information through insecure channels.
If you have any questions or concerns about whether a communication is legitimate, reach out to our customer support. Use our web form to contact our support team. We’d rather verify a legitimate message than have you fall victim to a scam.
If you have an objection to any suspicious communication or want to file a complaint about phishing attempts, our agents are here to help investigate.
Thank you for your vigilance and trust. Together, we can maintain a safe and secure environment for your job search.
